Many Movie Men Here Yesterday
(Originally Published Sept 2nd, 1919 in the Marion Chronicle)
That the name of Marion will be heralded country-wide through the medium of the big race is assured by the presence of movie camera men during the big speed classic. A representative of the Pathe picture company was present, moving about wherever space would permit taking pictures, and “close ups” of the riders and the winners. He climbed the overhead and squeezed in every available space to get his company the best picture of the race.
Another camera man representing several picture producing companies was also in the field. Newspaper men with their ever ready cameras were also among the men taking photographs of the race and the riders, and in today”s papers all over the country will be printed the smiling countenance of the winners of the race and of the race course.
